Dextension
Dext needed a product video to support the release of a new feature - Dextension - at Xerocon Sydney 2023.
Some elements of the product were still being created right up until a few days before the video deadline - but we worked closely with Dext’s Chief Product and Technology Officer and their specialist Product Marketing Manager to capture the footage needed.
The project was a quick turnaround - around 2 weeks from starting production to final deliverables shared. Initially planned as a 15 minute demo, circumstances meant we needed to quickly pivot to also provide a 3 minute version alongside it.
Shortly after, we produced a similar video for a version of Dextension which integrated with Quickbooks Online.

Dext Precision UI update
Dext needed a short series of videos to support the rollout of a new product.
One video to showcase the product to accountants, one for clients and one to show accounting partners how to migrate their clients.
We worked to a tight deadline to provide all three videos, which required us to capture product footage, record remote interviews, source stock footage and generate animated scenes to fit within the required narrative.
We worked very closely with the product and product marketing teams at Dext to support them with the rollout of an interface change to one of their major products.
The video was designed to explain the changes to accountant and bookkeeper users and a simple and straightforward way. A significant amount of time was spent in pre-production to fully understand the change and their impact, whilst also using my accounting experience to make suggestions about the major points to emphasise in the video.
Social Content
Onboarding Tutorials
Dext also asked us to produce some social media content in late 2023. The first was a ‘hype’ video for Dext’s presence at Xerocon Sydney. We filmed this remotely with Sabby (Dext’s CEO) then edited the footage to create a shareable asset.
The second was to repurpose a podcast to create a number of shareable social media videos.
